I have never had access to any formal training in the area of management, and therefore I felt that there was much I could learn, plus I also became aware throughout the course that there was a lot of things that I hadn’t even realised I didn’t know.||Coming out of the course, I have a better understanding of how to approach difficult situations, and understand the importance of asking questions to get to the root of understanding a problem, I also see the importance of asking staff what they think they can do about the situation to encourage them to solve the problem themselves and be more committed to the agreed process.||I have certainly learnt the value of setting goals to ensure that tasks which may in the past have “slipped by the way side” become a priority. I now also understand the importance of good communication and staff development and delegation.
