For me, I have seen a major boost in confidence in my role as a manager and in dealing with staff. I have stepped up and am now more comfortable in approaching staff member in cases of behaviour issues. The first module talked about a sense of ownership and I think this was one of the first things that struck me and made me look at my role as a manager in a different light. From my goals I have completed the budgets for the financial and this would be one of my achievements that I am most proud of. Due to the implementation of Yardi the budgets were left to me without assistance. I have now gone one step further and am currently looking at the actuals for 2012/13 for the outgoings wash-up. Once done I will then show Rick our new manager how this works. I really enjoy this work and have not had a chance to be fully involved previously. The other part of the course I really enjoyed was the discussions with the other participants regarding their work place and staffing and the answers to the questions in the modules. It was really interesting.
