Having a diverse group of people from different employment backgrounds made our course very enjoyable as it brought different perspectives to the discussions. Having the use of forms to trial and implement was an interesting aspect of the course, some were useful and some not so useful. For me the results are difficult to measure in dollar terms however I think a change in attitude and the way I approach some situations with other employees will be long lasting. Learning how to simplify action steps and use focus goals was very valuable and I will continue to utilise these ideas. Goals accomplished included delegation of rostering and training the person taking over so more time could be spent on high pay off activities as it freed up a large amount of time. Other goals achieved related to evidence for funding requirements and improvements in admission processes. The interesting thing about working towards the identified goals was that new goals and ideas would emerge that showed a continuous improvement cycle.
